The process

Preparation prior to our visit is essential, in order for us to be more effective and achieve better results after the whole process. As soon as you call one of our customer service and call centre operators, they can explain everything in more detail and advice you on the post-treatment procedures as well. In regards to the preparation, there are few simple steps that you need to follow.

Please note that our bed bug treatments work perfectly well with a wide range of insects, such as carpet beetle and its larvae, cockroaches, fleas, flies and other flying insects, fabric and food moth, spiders, woodworms and furniture beetles, stored product insects (SPIs) and others.

Firstly, you need to make sure that any storage underneath the beds and sofas is carefully inspected and taken away from there. At the early stages of an infestation bed bugs should not be hiding there, although there is a risk that they may have settled there if there are cardboard boxes and paper stuff. In case that you keep sealed plastic boxes under the beds and storage space under sitting furniture, you should not worry at all, as bed bugs cannot get access and hide inside such boxes or properly sealed plastic bags. Air-tight bags and plastic boxes are the best way to keep your personal belongings away from the bed bugs, due to the legislative restriction in treating your personal belongings.

The next step is to strip the beds and wash the bedding. Please note that this does include the pillows and duvet, just the pillow cases, duvet/blanket cover and the sheets. The wash should be executed on 60 degrees Celsius ideally, although sometimes this temperature may damage the fabrics,in which case you may consider dry cleaning or tumble-drying. The final step of the preparations should be a thorough vacuum cleaning of the whole property, trying to focus on the spaces under the beds and the sitting areas. It is very important to seal the vacuum bag after the cleaning and bin it in a safe manner.

As people and professionals, we are fully committed to cope with less treatments and chemicals applied in each bed bugs case, regardless of the level of infestation. Our methods include heat with hot air or dry steam for instant bed bug extermination, followed by residual spray with professional-use-only insecticides, using the most effective active ingredients. The bed bug removal process includes treatment of all the furniture in a single room or in the whole property that has to be treated. We offer heavy discounts for whole properties and businesses, free of charge treatments of hallways, staircases and common areas, once a treatment of the whole property is undertaken. Bed bug control requires patience and perseverance, as this insect is more resistant than most other domestic insects, involving strict post-treatment procedures to be followed, such as no vacuuming or mopping with a wet mop for 3-4 weeks after the treatment and regular 60 degree Celsius wash of the bedding in use. For more information please call our knowledgeable call centre staff. They should be able to answer any question, regarding any stage of the process.
