About us
In all areas of Brighton and Hove we provide 24/7 bed bug extermination and control with the most effective methods and products for professional-use-only. We are members of the British Pest Control Association (BPCA), the National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA), CHAS safe contractor scheme in the UK and the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA), covering nearly all possible standards in the UK pest control industry. Our technicians are thoroughly trained and experienced with the bed bugs’ behaviour, so that they can easily assess and effectively treat any kind of bed bug infestation. For the residents in Brighton and Hove, as well as all businesses, we are fully committed to cope in each case with less treatments, respectively less resources spent and chemicals applied.
The process
Before we proceed with booking an appointment, we always advise our customers on specific preparations prior to the treatment. This is increasing our overall chances for successful and complete bed bug eradication with less treatments. Our bed bug technicians should be able to spot the signs of bed bugs even after an immaculate preparation, as the most typical sign is the dropping of the bed bug, which sticks very well to the surface. As soon as the technician locates the hideouts, it is easy to get rid of the bed bugs on the spot with our targeted dry steam method, for example and then lay down the insecticide for long-lasting effect. On average, we achieve complete bed bug eradication in nearly all cases with 1-2 treatments, which is better than the benchmark of 3 full chemical treatments, issued by the BPCA.
The first step of the preparation process, as per the best practices, is to remove any storage from underneath the beds and look it through for the presence of bed bugs. In case that storage is kept on the floor in the bedrooms or around the sitting areas, it has to be sealed in plastic boxes or bags with a simple knot, so that the bed bugs have no access to the personal items. Everything else that is kept away from the floor, such as upper shelves, hanging clothes, on top of a plastic box with smooth surface is safe. The bed bugs rarely expose themselves crawling up furniture or clothes, they prefer wooden crack and crevices, paper and cardboard, which is essentially the same material.
The second step is to wash/dry the bed sheets and covers on 60 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes in the washing machine or tumble drier. Delicate fabrics and clothes could be manually inspected and shaken through a window or outside of the property, as bed bugs do not tend to nest or hide randomly. The hot wash of the bedding has to continue after the bed bug treatment, potentially. As a final step of the preparations prior to our visit, the customer has to vacuum clean nicely the whole property, including soft and wooden furniture, making sure that the contents of the hoover are sealed before binning them.
Our bed bug technicians inspect on the spot, risk assess the whole situation and all possible hideouts of the bed bugs. They are always ready to treat on the same visit in which case we do not charge anything for the assessments. Our prices are heavily discounted for bed bug treatments of whole properties, as this is the most effective way to treat this particular pest. The bed bug treatment with super-heated dry steam and residual spray with professional-use-only active ingredient is our most efficient in terms of success rates, time and cost-effective treatment. It works with nearly the whole range of insects, including textile pests like the carpet beetle and moth larvae, fleas, cockroaches and others. For the residents and all businesses in Brighton and Hove we guarantee with heavy discounts and free treatments, which are subject to our T&C.
