The process

Few preparation procedures apply before we are able to book an appointment. Those include removing any clutter or belongings from underneath the beds, looking through any storage on the floor level in all bedrooms, apart from storage and personal items sealed in plastic bags or boxes, upper and top shelves. Hot wash of the bedding on 60 degrees Celsius applies, after which it is best to vacuum clean the mattress, bed frame and the whole floor in the property, seal and bin the vacuum contents afterwards.

Please note that our bed bug treatments work perfectly well with a wide range of insects, such as carpet beetle and its larvae, cockroaches, fleas, flies and other flying insects, fabric and food moth, spiders, woodworms and furniture beetles, stored product insects (SPIs) and others.

After the preparations our knowledgeable bed bug technicians inspect and risk assess the property. We assess all the general and site risks, issue professional advice regarding possible improvements and prevention in future. If the customer is happy with all the findings and the advice the pest technician can go ahead and treat the property right away. The downtime of the treatment and the waiting time afterwards is only 3-4 hours for people and 4-5 hours for pets, in most cases. The property is absolutely safe after the waiting time, or as soon as the surfaces are dry.

The initial bed bug treatment is a combination of heat with dry steam and insecticide spray in the end. Our technicians always treat the whole property, as per the best practice with bed bugs, including hallways, sitting and living areas, bedrooms, landings and stairs. We do not charge anything for the common areas in the property, the charge is only for the main bedroom and every additional bedroom comes very cheap. This way we drastically reduce the risk of spreading the bed bugs after the treatment, which is very typical for their behaviour, especially in those cases where people perform targeted treatment with Do It Yourself (DIY) products. The commercial bed bug sprays show inefficient due to the lower toxicity compared to the professional insecticides, the active ingredients are different as well as their effect on the bed bugs. Our products are hundreds of times more effective and have much quicker knockdown effect, poisoning the bed bugs to their complete extermination instead of spreading them throughout the property, half-poisoned.
