For appointments outside the M25 circle and Greater London, we have £60 pounds surcharge for the initial treatment. An inspection only, outside London, costs £100 pounds total.

The process
Bed Bug Hunters is a fully accredited company by the UK pest control industry and all standards. This means that our technicians are British Pest Control Association (BPCA) trained and qualified, but also very experienced with bed bugs and their behaviour, exterminating all kinds of infestations on a daily basis. We are members of the BPCA, as well as the National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA), CHAS safe contractor scheme, Basis PROMPT, which is the national pest technicians register in the UK. It is important to note that we are fully committed to cope in each case with less treatments, less money and resources spent overall, less chemicals applied, which is better for our customers, technicians and the environment.
Our favourite association – the BPCA, has recognised our approach and methods as Integrated bed bug management. We apply low-cost heat methods in combination with professional-use-only insecticides that are overall human-friendly and the active ingredients break down easily in a few weeks after the treatment. Our bed bug hunters are always thorough from the inspection to the bed bug treatment, as they treat in nearly all cases the whole property with all the adjoining premises, common areas and all the furniture there. This is the best practice code with bed bugs and we strictly apply the most effective products and methods, we work really hard to get rid of the problem for our customers in the long term.
At first, we ask our customers to apply few preparation procedures, before we confirm the appointment. Those include removing anything that may be stored underneath the beds and also exposed storage/items from the floor level in the bedrooms, as well as the sitting areas in the property. Bed bugs tend to hide in wooden cracks and crevices in the bed frame, so it is unlikely that they hide in our personal belongings, but there is a risk of course. They also like paper and cardboard, which is essentially the same material. The next step is a hot wash of the bedding with all the cases and sheets, but not the actual pillows or duvet, as bed bugs cannot go through the fabric. The last step is to hoover thoroughly the floor, bed frame and soft furniture if possible, making sure that the contents of the hoover are sealed in a bag before binning them.
As soon as the preparations are done and we confirm the booking, one of our technicians is appointed to carry out the treatment, which is usually our best and combined heat and spray. This treatment is slightly more expensive than the spray only option, but it is considerably more efficient and it works perfectly well with the majority of crawling and flying insects, such as moths and their larvae, fleas, cockroaches, carpet beetles and others. We treat the whole property with no charge for hallways, landings and stairs, sitting/living rooms and kitchens. In cases of subsequent treatments required, we guarantee heavy discounts and a certain number of free treatments.
