Southend-on-Sea or simply referred as Southend was originally a fishermen village centuries ago. The town started developing and growing, gained status of a seaside resort and later on redeveloped with new retail and commerce properties. Southend-on-Sea is located 40 miles east of central London, in the south-eastern coast of Essex, lying on the north side of Thames river estuary. Bed Bug Hunters provides affordable bed bug extermination and post treatment control in Southend-on-Sea seven days a week with no surcharge during the weekends, nearly 24 hours a day. We also cover all the surrounding towns, being able to effectively treat the bed bugs for residents and businesses very shortly after the initial call.
Our pest technicians are available 24/7
Our commitment is that we always try to remove the bed bugs with less treatments. We guarantee heavy subsequent discounts and sometimes free treatments, in more difficult cases that require more treatments. The technicians always use the most effective methods and products with our bed bug treatments. A great benefit of the professional-use-only insecticides is the fact that they are safe to people and pets after application by our expert pest technicians only 3-5 hours after the treatment. Other methods that we specialise with, such as the heat with dry steam and the hot air, in combination with the professional-use-only insecticides are producing the highest success rates of bed bug removal and post-treatment control. Our technicians have been thoroughly trained and qualified by the British Pest Control Association.
From the first call to the post-treatment care and procedures, we, at Bed Bug Hunters take each case individually, trying to completely and effectively resolve the issue with less treatments. In order to increase the overall chance, we require some preparations to be done by the customer prior to the scheduled appointment. Those may include removing and visually inspecting storage on the floor level, apart from sealed plastic boxes and bags. Any cardboard boxes, papers, wooden stuff on the floor should be thoroughly inspected, also by our bed bug technician, if you doubt about the presence of bed bugs there.
When the floor level is all cleared out of potential hideouts for the bed bugs, we ask the customer to strip off the bed linen and wash on 60C degrees Celsius, including pillow cases, covers and sheets, but not the pillows or duvet, as bed bugs cannot go through the fabric, respectively they cannot be inside those. Some items that cannot be washed on high temperature (60C for 30 minutes wash minimum) could be tumble-dried, dry cleaned or just shaken outside the window and thoroughly inspected. Bed bugs do not tend to hide in our clothes, those cases are very rare.
The final step of the preparation procedures prior to the visit by one of our experienced bed bug technicians is vacuuming the floor, even the mattress and bed frame, if possible. The vacuum bag or the contents of the bagless hoover should be sealed and disposed of in a safe manner afterwards. Our customers should not worry that they could remove signs of bed bug infestation, as the most typical signs are the droppings of the bed bugs, which stick to the surface and cannot be hoovered up.
After the property is prepared and we send out a technician, our target is to cope with the initial treatment, although bed bug control is always a matter of chance. We always perform a very thorough inspection and risk assessment of the property, the whole situation and the possible cause of the bed bug introduction. Then, we know all actual and possible hideouts of the bed bugs and it is easier for us to exterminate any live ones on the spot with some of our special methods, such as the dry steam. This is followed by residual spray of potentially all furniture in all rooms, including hallways and common areas in the property free of charge, with the most effective professional-use-only active ingredients in the UK. Our technicians are discreet, using unmarked vehicles and performing successful bed bug treatments in Southend-On-Sea nearly 24/7, always ready to help and provide a quality service.
